    For my blog post this week, I will be asking ChatGPT to define for me the concept of cognitive economy. This is my prompt and ChatGPT's response:

    In my prompt, I asked ChatGPT to define the concept of cognitive economy. I chose this prompt because I know that as a concept, it has the potential to be broad in its definition and scope. I wanted to see how ChatGPT would synthesize the information in the most efficient way and how it would present it to me. Lastly, I wanted to evaluate how well ChatGPT presented this information compared to in-class.

    Overall, I think ChatGPT did a very good job in its response. First of all, it is extremely organized. I have used ChatGPT in the past and its answers tend to be organized, and this is no exception. However, this is not as important as the actual content, so lets dig in deeper. Upon analyzing the info presented by ChatGPT, the first paragraph is decent. It does a fairly good job of introducing chat cognitive economy is, but I think it could do better by being more specific and using less general terms. However, it does go into more detail after, so its response does improve in my opinion. All the four defined concepts that ChatGPT found to be the most important make sense and there are no glaring inaccuracies or errors. Its explanations for minimizing redundancy and hierarchical organization are two that I found to be very well done in particular. Overall, I found ChatGPT did a commendable job of answering my prompt and defining cognitive economy.

 Zach Tran Intro to Cognitive Psychology 10/22/23 My Own Memory      An example of procedural memory in my life is learning how to ski. Learning to ski was a very difficult process that took me many, many years to learn growing up, and I was lucky that my parents were persistent and kept me dedicated and constantly pushing myself. In this way, learning to ski is very similar to the common example for procedural memory of learning how to ride a bike, but also has many differences. Learning how to ride a bike is often described as something you never forget, which I think is a good description for procedural memory as a whole.
